The U.S. Department of Labor reports that the middle 50% of technicians earn between $14.12 and $23.32 per hour. As of 2006, there were 292,000 jobs in this industry nationwide. The Department of Labor also said the following about employment in the HVAC/Refrigeration industry:
- Job prospects are expected to be excellent.
- Employers prefer to hire those who have completed technical school training or a formal apprenticeship.

| What is the EPA 608 Universal Certification? How do I get it? |
This Environmental Protection Agency credential certifies your knowledge of installation, repair, recovery, and safety techniques in reference to small appliances, high pressure systems, and low pressure systems. This certification is highly marketable to employers, and our curriculum and instructors prepare you for the certification exam. The testing fee is included in the tuition, and this program prepares you not only to test successfully, but to be prepared to demonstrate your proficiency on-the-job.

| What is OSHA Safety Training? |
| Our 10-hour safety training program was produced and approved by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration and introduces students to concepts in occupational health and safety, as well as OSHA policies, procedures, and standards. This training is marketable to employers, and is included in our curriculum and tuition. |
| Where is the school? How do I get there? |
| CLI is located in Columbus, Indiana - a small town just south of Indianapolis. However, our students come from all over the country! Your tuition covers your transportation from your home to Columbus and back again. School staff takes care of all the arrangements for your inbound and outbound flights or will help you map the trip if you prefer to drive yourself. Either way, all costs are covered and arrangements made for you. |
| Where will I stay while I am at school? |
| You will have a private hotel room with a refrigerator, microwave, and cable TV. You will never have a roommate, or have to stay in a dorm. The hotels where students stay are clean, safe, and centrally located just minutes from many restaurants and shopping options. |
| Students generally stay either at the Days Inn or at the Red Roof Inn. |
| What are your requirements for acceptance to the school? |
The requirements are intended to focus on your employability and success as a Heating, Ventilations, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician. In general, students need a relatively clean criminal record, basic educational requirements, and a work history that can demonstrate your general stability as an employee. Of course, related work history in related fields like maintenance, construction, customer service, etc. are a plus.
